Rail mounted gantry crane is a type of heavy lifting equipment used for cargo loading and unloading at container terminals and freight terminals. It usually consists of bridge frame, large crane, container spreader and traveling mechanism. The main function of the gantry crane is to load and unload containers on the freight site, and to lift containers from the freighter to the dock or from the dock to the freighter.
